Additional Info:
This is a unique opportunity to learn from the maestro teacher Bhai Kultar Singh Ji (son of Late Bhai Avtar Singh Ji) from the prestigious family of raagis tracing back roots to raagis in Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s darbaar.  Bhai saheb is a great teacher who has successfully taught over 100 students in the West Coast, and the New England region, from beginners to advanced and in the ages of very young to seniors. The basic qualification for the workshop is that one should have an interest in learning raag based Gurmat sangeet, and willingness to learn and practice.   Bhai Saheb also issues formal certificates from “Bhai Avtar Singh Ragi Kirtan Taksaal, School of Praacheen Gurmat Sangeet, New Delhi, India” to all the registered students. Various students have also been able to use these certificate for college applications as well.

This workshop series covers all 31 raags in sequence in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, and some additional traditional raags. These workshops have been running on the West Coast (Los Angeles, Bay Area and New Mexico) for the last 5-6 years now, and each series takes approximately 5 years to complete all the 31 raags.  There are two workshops per year and the second workshop will be in the Summer time.
